Vero Beach Florida Oceanfront Condos
When searching for an ocean front or ocean view condo, it helps to understand the terminology used (or misused!) to describe the actual location of Vero Beach Homes and Condos on the Barrier Island.
- Beachside - in Vero Beach should be on the Barrier Island and walking distance to the beach & river
- Ocean View - varies from distant obscured "peek at the ocean" to unobstructed view, typically "East of A1A"
- Ocean Front - Should be unobstructed view, no streets to cross for beach access.
It's best to look at a map, preferably "birds eye view" to get a clear picture of true location
Bay Tree Oceanfront Condos- were built from the 1980's to 2005 on the Vero Beach Barrier Island, about seven miles from the Ocean Drive district. Baytree is a pleasant, well landscaped, well-managed island community, that allows pets up to 50lbs.
Caledon Shores Condos - is an oceanfront complex located just north of Jaycee Park and the Vero Beach Boardwalk. The low rise (5 stories) building was built in 1981 and has a fitness center, community room with catering kitchen, a billiards room, library and oceanfront pool with beach access.
Colony Club - is an ocean front complex of luxury condos on Vero's south beach. The low rise 3 story building features 3 bedroom, 3 bath units with 2 car garages and oceanfront balconies. Colony Club amenities include elevators, community pool & granted beach access.
Ocean Club - condos are comprised of three different communities of direct ocean front structures just north of Jaycee Park. Ocean Club 1 an 2 were built in 1971 and consist of two 3 story buildings of ocean view condos.
Oceangate - is a 5 story direct oceanfront condo complex in Vero's central beach area, just north of Jaycee Park and the boardwalk. Each unit has direct oceanfront patio or balcony, a 2 car garage port and both buildings have elevators.
Sea Cove - Is a community of oceanfront condos on the barrier island in the south beach area. Both the North & South Sea Cove buildings were built in 1982 and though slightly different architecturally, they are both low rise (5 Story) buildings.
Seaquay Condos - can be easily located from the beach by looking for the only dock in Indian River County extending into the Atlantic Ocean. The low rise building at Seaquay offers a variety of sizes and floor plans all served by elevators.
Sea Watch - is a condos complex in the central beach area of the barrier island in Vero Beach Florida. Sea Watch Condos have ocean views from most units due to their construction at an angle to the shoreline.
South Cove Condos - are located on south Ocean Drive in an oceanfront complex with easy beach access and a community pool. Several restaurants are within walking distance of South Cove and the mainland is easily accessed by the 17th Street Bridge a short distance away.
Victoria Condos - were built in 1982 and consist of a Y shaped building that offers an ocean view to almost every unit. The Victoria Condos complex has a staffed gate, clubhouse, pool and garages for each unit.
Village Spires - has the distinction of being Vero's only high rise condominium complex with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Built in the early 1970's, much of the 2 building complex was rebuilt after sustaining hurricane damage in 2004.
Vista Del Mar - is a 55+ beach side complex with an oceanfront pool and recreation center built in the early 1970's. Vista Del Mar is typical of the building occurring at that time. Ceilings are 8', balconies are enclosed and unit access is similar to a motel.
A more affordable option to Vero Beach Oceanfront condos are the high rise buildings just 7 miles south of Vero's Ocean Drive. Located in St. Lucie county, they are not subject to Indian River County's height restrictions. Although called "North Hutchinson Island", it is actually at the southern end of Vero's Orchid Island, just a quick drive down scenic A1A with no bridges to cross. Altamira Condos - North Hutchinson Island - is a complex of 2 high rise condo buildings that are beachside (East of Hwy A1A) with 12 floors plus a penthouse. With only 2 units per floor, the condos are 2400 to 2700 square feet each with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths.
Bryn Mawr - North Hutchinson Island, is a complex of 3 highrise buildings, west of A1A with either ocean or river views. Amenities include pool, tennis courts & kayaks with river access.
Grand Isle Condos - North Hutchinson Island - consists of 1 high rise tower that is beachside (East of A1A) on spacious gated grounds. Units are typically 3 to 4 bedrooms and come with a 1 or 2 Car garage. Built in 2005, they are some of the newest available in the area.
Ocean Pearl - is a direct oceanfront complex (east of Hwy A1A) built in 2003 with a total of 48 condos each with 3 bedrooms of approximately 2200 SF each. Covered parking and storage is available under the building along with additional uncovered surface parking for guests.
Oceanique - is one of the newest (2009) & most luxurious oceanfront communities on North Hutchinson Island. It consists of two 13 story buildings with units ranging from 2000 to 3000 square feet in finished area under air, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths garage and extra storage.
Tiara Towers - consists of two 15 story buildings with each unit having direct oceanfront views. Each tower has it's own pool, recreation facilities and walkway to the beach. Covered enclosed "garage ports" are included with each unit which provide covered parking and additional storage.
